Walt Disney World Theme Parks Florida Resident Annual Pass
Walt Disney World has different options specifically tailored to Florida residents. Florida residents may need different traveling packages than residents from other states. Many Florida residents choose to drive to the Walt Disney World theme parks instead of flying and some may want to travel to the park more than once a year.
There are discounts to the parks based on Florida residency. Disney World theme parks are not the first theme park to offer discounts to Florida residents. Many theme parks across the state have annual passes and discounted ticket that Florida residents can purchase. There are three different types of Florida resident passes: Florida Resident Annual Pass, Florida Resident Premium Annual Pass, and the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass.
The Florida Resident Annual pass gives the pass holder unlimited admission for 365 days from the purchase date (except events separately priced) to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, plus complimentary parking.
The Florida Resident Premium Annual Pass gives pass holders unlimited admission for 365 days from the purchase date (except events separately priced) to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Pleasure Island, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon water parks, DisneyQuest and Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex, plus complimentary parking.
The Florida Resident Seasonal Pass entitles pass holders to admission to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom except for “blackout” dates around Christmas/New Years, Easter/spring break, and peak summer vacation period; the pass expires 365 days after purchase.
Tampa Bay residents may see this as a benefit because the Walt Disney World theme parks are less the 2 hours away from most Tampa Bay residents. Living in Tampa Bay also gives the option of going to the park several times of the year when it is not the peak time at the Walt Disney World resorts.
Non Florida residents may purchase an Annual Pass, and a Premium Annual Pass.
