Fun Ideas For a Baby's First Birthday Party

One of the best birthday parties to have is the first birthday. Number one reason is that it is the first. You get to take this time to reflect with all the oohs, and aahs and wonder where the last twelve months have gone. Another great thing is that you, the parent, get to make all the party planning decisions. Take this opportunity and run with it; believe me once that baby starts to utter more sentences your party planning ends and their planning begins. Of course, at the age of one your baby has some preferences. If it seems that your baby is more attracted to a certain character you can choose that character for the birthday party theme.
Birthday Party Theme
Theme is a very important thing. Once you have chosen the theme it becomes a lot easier to choose other fun touches. A special note is that if you chose to use a character like, Elmo, Dora, or Blue's Clues you do not have to break the bank. What you can do is purchase some inexpensive party decorations or favors with that character. Then you can use solid color decorations that are part of that characters color scheme. With Blue's Clues you can use blue and white. With Elmo you can use orange and red. With Dora you use orange, pink, purple, and yellow.
Another great idea is to use you baby as the party theme. Have pictures and moments of you baby as decorations for the party. Why not, it is your baby's first party anyway.

Do not forget the baby fun cake. As part of your babies first birthday the Publix Baby Club gives a small free cake with a regular cake purchase. You will have to check with your for specific information. This cake can be used as the one the baby plays in and throws all over the place.
Whatever the choice make it fun and relaxing for you, the baby, and all the guests. The purpose of the party is to have everyone enjoying themselves, including you. At any age children read there parent's body language. Relax and have fun, you baby will relax and have fun with you too.
